Song story and background information

Ayatollah lends his vocal talents to another classic track.

The Ayatollah performs this James track with his usual legendary vocal prowess. Guitars were by Kermit Le Kreak, with bass and drums by The Quiff on this, the last track the two musicians worked on as No One Knows We're Dead before being horribly killed in a car crash at the end of 1999.

The Ayatollah recorded this track whilst going though a sexually experimental phase, at this time he would occasional be seen visiting various alternative night clubs and brothels around London and New York.  This track is dedicated to one of his many lovers at this time.

Lyrics

This bed is on fire with passionate love
The neighbours complain about the noises above
But she only comes when she's on top

My therapist says not to see you no more
She says you're like a disease without any cure
She said I'm so obsessed I'm becoming a bore, oh no

You think you're so pretty

Caught your hand inside the till
Slammed your fingers in the door
Brought the kitchen knives and skewers
Dressed me up in women's clothes
Messed around with gender roles
Dyed my eyes and called me pretty

Moved out of the house, so you moved next door
I locked you out, you cut a hole in the wall
I found you sleeping next to me, I thought I was alone
You're driving me crazy, when you coming home?

Pretty
Pretty
Pretty
