History
1993
Never a band to pass up an opportunity,
Fußgängerzone were soon to jump on the nationwide craze for
'The Frank & Walters' with their own unique tribute song called 'I
Love My Frank & Walters Long Sleeve T-Shirt', which was released
on the 1st of March.
(Ludwig enjoys his Frank
& Walters Long Sleeve T-Shirt.)
This song was at the time the band's best
selling single, but ultimately marked a downturn in their fortunes, as
Ludwig was soon to lose his ongoing court case for repeatedly exposing
himself to members of the public, and masturbating onstage preceding an
encore at one of the band’s concerts. This led to him being jailed
for six months in one of Germany's "posher" incarceration establishments,
during which he also underwent rigorous rehabilitation sessions to cure
him of his sex addiction.
After a brief flirtation with the Muslim
religion, in May 1993 Ludwig came to his senses (due to BBFCB offering
an immense advance payment for the completion of the next "remix" album),
and Fußgängerzone were reborn...
'Fußgängerzone Are Back'
(Released 31/5/'93) was the next single brought out by the band, and along
with November's 'Star Trek T.N.G.' single and a new remix of 'I
Love My Frank & Walters Long Sleeve T-Shirt', featured on the 'Remixed
In the M1' LP, which came out on the 6th September of this year.
